1st day of elk season north of Dubois

[Wind River]

Saw moose, a bear, and a few deer. The weather is nice and the elk are hanging out up high. We did see some pretty autumn scenery though….

Moose photo by the wife. Also saw a small black bear, didn't get a good photo though. Lots of Pronghorns, but no sheep yet.

Wiggins fork, Table Mtn, Indian ridge,, the whole area has become one of my favorite places on earth. My buddy and I were on a Can-am side by side. We really didn’t see lots of hunters. Elk hunting will be better next week with all the snow up that way……can’t wait!
