An elk story...

One time, I saw an elk just wandering as the sun was going down. This huge bull just stared right at me for what felt like forever. Sometimes makes you wonder, are they dumb? What's going on in their heads when that happens? Still gives me the creeps.

I don’t think they’re dumb at all, more like curious and calculating. That stare-down is them trying to read you, not panic..

Elk aren't dumb. They're taking in everything..sometimes freezing is just the safest move they can make.
