Is coffee at camp necessary or tradition?

For those who hunt from a base camp, is morning coffee just about waking up or is it something more? I feel like there's a ritual aspect that matters as much as the caffeine

Morning coffee is like a ritual, kind of a focus thing. I pour it slow, listen to the woods waking up, and think about the day ahead. It feels like a little ceremony before I start hunting.

I've never hunted from a base camp, but, it's definitely a ritual.
The walk to where my food bag is hanging
The relief when there isn't a grizzly under it LOL
The hiss of the stove, waiting for the water to boil, trying not to be memorized by the aroma.
The second cup at the top of my first glassing spot is even more of a ritual.

The first one is usually a kickstarter of instant coffee, instant hot chocolate, a Chocolate Salt LMNT packet and Laird's Superfood "creamer".

The when I get to the glassing spot is where I make actual coffee and have breakfast while waiting for first light.
