Can’t hate on a classic. She’s a little high‑maintenance but she still shoots like a dream.I can't tell you your wrong because you're stating your opinion.
The 1911 is extremely accurate and comfortable to shoot.
The trigger design is the standard by which all others are measured.
The overall design has stood the test of time proven by the fact that it was in service for 74 years and this is still a common discussion.
It's heavy. I don't carry mine.
It does need to be kept clean to run flawlessly. The tighter the tolerances more consistently it needs to be cleaned.
It's not as convenient to carry and shoot as some modern handguns.
I argue that it still holds its own in accuracy and comfort
Okay yeah… if your reference point is a Wilson Supergrade, that’s a tough act to followAbout 10 years ago, through a really weird set of circumstances, I briefly owned a Wilson Combat Tactical Supergrade Compact (that had formerly belonged to a family friend). It was kind of pricey, but definitely the nicest handgun that I've ever owned, so I can't really argue with the 1911 fans. Guess if I was going to personally claim 1911s are overrated, I might have to find something better than that one (which hasn't happened yet)...
