A Thanksgiving memory that still cracks you up

One year my uncle insisted he knew how to deep-fry a turkey… but forgot to thaw it first. The moment that frozen bird hit the oil, it was like a geyser going off. He jumped back, we all panicked, and my aunt yelled “This is why we can’t have nice things!” We ended up eating side dishes for dinner and turkey at 10pm...it is still one of the funniest family disasters I’ve ever witnessed.

Reminds me of when my cousin tried cutting the turkey when it was still super hot inside. He cut into it and steam blew his glasses off, and he tried to act like that was totally planned. We still laugh about it every year.
