Best Budget Scope Options for Elk Hunting Under $300

Looking for recommendations on budget scopes under $300 that are durable enough for elk hunting. I need something that holds zero and offers great clarity. What have you guys had good experiences with?

Well kinda tough at your price point but Vortex seems to have very good reviews and there warranty is very good. Head down to your LGS and examine what is in your budget.

Leupold freedom series is very basic but reliable in my experience. On a hunting rifle I don’t really care for a lot of features or “gadgetry”.

Those cheap scopes are a gamble, you might find an elk, or you might find out that dial adjustments are just a suggestion. Get the Vortex Diamondback or the Burris Fullfield E1..otherwise, good luck with your zero

In your budget range Vortex Viper 6.5x20x44. This scope i have on several varmint rifles as well as a 280 Ackley. I seen Sportsmans warehouse has them listed at 269.99

its not a scope for the 30 minutes before sunrise, or 30 minutes after sunset. If looking for a scope that has that carity your 300.00 goal will jump. However back in the day I have shot several elk. , top scopes . That was 50 years ago. Glass has improved greatly
