Field dressing

Field dressing way out in the back is tough. A good knife, saw, and game bags are important and I also bring gloves, cord and a tarp to keep things clean. Last year, my gear saved me when I had to break down an elk far from my truck. What do you pack?

I forgot my gloves once and cleaned up for hours. Now I always pack nitrile gloves, paracord and a small folding saw...they're lifesavers

Last season I dressed a deer with just my drop-point and tarp. Never again, though, without game bags! They keep meat clean and make packing out much better

Speaking of something going right... last hunting season, I had to gut a deer in super deep snow. If I didn't have high-quality gloves and a super sharp knife, I would have had either frozen hands or have made an awful mess. Those two items proved to be invaluable
