Yep! Amazing what happens when you feed it good ammo and clear glass.Everyday. Most rifles will shoot, if you build a load and put quality glass on them.
I feel that. Budget gets smoked on the rifle, scope comes secondI have always heard to spend more on glass than your rifle cost and I don't doubt that it's true but I've never been able to do it.
I buy decent glass but by the time I buy a new rifle I don't usually have enough money left to spend that much again on a scope. I buy a $300-$400 scope and start working on loads.
No kidding. Good glass can make an old rifle feel brand newEven on my old 26 year old 300 win mag- a quality scope always makes it way to my rifle.
The quality of glass has improved dramatically, and now with addition of higher magnification in a zoomed lenses- A quality scope is paramount
AND ..... The quality of vehicles we can now afford...LOL !I used to run the cheapest scopes, because that's what I could afford. Now that the kids are grown and moved out I have better scopes on all the rifles. It makes a big difference'
