Shooting lighter recoiling guns helped me reset

I took a break from my .308 and shot .22 for a month, and I got my confidence back without the punishment. I now can shoot the big gun without flinching, I guess sometimes you need to step back.
 
I go up to Montana to meet a bunch of guys I met on another forum for 4 days of gopher hunting every spring. I've shot anywhere from 1500 to 2500 rounds of ,22LR during the 4 days.

I always come home a better shooter and any flinch I had is gone. Even if I didn't know I had a flinch.
 
That reset thing works. I spent a few weeks shooting .22 after I started flinching, and it really helped. Getting back to basics is easier when the recoil's lighter, I think.
