What is your favorite shooting range?

I’m curious about where everyone likes to shoot. What’s your favorite range and what makes it stand out? Any particular rules or staff that you appreciate?

Stuckenhoff near Casper is a good one. I’d like to see a range near Riverton.

I grew up in riverton, live in greybull now.. lander and Shoshoni have decent ranges.. every attempt to start a range in the riverton area has fizzled.. the reservation is not agreeable to having a range..

I’m lucky. I have my own shooting range on my property. Gong’s out to 400 yards. If I need to go further there is an abandoned gravel pit 3 miles from the house on BLM land where I can get 2000+ yards.

I use suppressor so I don’t disturb wife and Dogs.

I belonged to the Lander valley range one year, it’s good but I like to shoot in the morning. In the winter months the sun is directly facing the benches in the AM.

In that you grew up in the area, maybe you know what the story is on the abandoned facility just off US 26, south of Ocean Lake? It was obviously a rifle range at one time.
