I've been thinking about getting a shotgun for home defense and I'd love to hear what works for you all. I'm stuck between a 12-gauge and a 20-gauge. The 12-gauge has a lot of stopping power, which is appealing, but I've heard the 20-gauge has less recoil and might be easier to control in a tight space. What do you guys think?
I'm also wondering about barrel length and stock setups. What's a good size for home defense? I want something reliable and straightforward. Any specific brands or models you'd recommend?
And how crucial is training? I've shot a few shotguns but never in a serious capacity. What kind of practice should I be focusing on to feel ready if the worst happens?
