I'm thinking about taking my little one fishing for the first time. They're 5 and really curious about all the outdoors stuff, but I'm totally new to this myself. I saw some colorful kid-sized fishing rods at Target, and I'm wondering if those are a good bet to start with. What kind of bait works best for beginners? Just looking for some simple advice to make it a fun day out.
