That’s a good plan! Ammo savings plus dinner points might actually offset recoil at homeBro I can rip 1k rounds in a single range session .. tell the wife you’re saving money by buying while it’s on sale then take her to dinner !
Reloading definitely adds up fast, especially when you’re shooting regularly.I like to reload 9mm in decent sized batches, and I just finished about a thousand rounds each of 160 gr, 147 gr, and 115 gr, plus there's whatever was already on the shelf. As @John S mentioned above, you can go through quite a bit without breaking a sweat. My favorite gunsmith (now retired) & his wife both compete, and he mentioned that they go through 20,000-30,000 rds per year, between them...

That’s next-level preparedness. When she’s stocking ammo, you know you’re in good hands. My wife has her own stockpile in the ammo safe

That's not a bad start. I don't have any 9mm rounds. But I don't have a 9mm. Now .38, 357, .380, .41Mag, .44 Mag and .45ACP is a different story.Every time there's a decent sale I grab a couple boxes. My closet now looks like a bunker and she keeps asking if I'm preparing for the apocalypse. Maybe I am. How much 9mm you got stashed?
